Obituary of Nena Allen

Nena Guillermina Allen, age 90 of Pearland, passed away on June 6, 2009. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tomás & Enriqueta (Ramirez) Giano; husband, George Allen; and brothers, Billy, Henry, & Tom Giano; and sister, Cora Densford. She is survived by her son, Mike Allen & his wife Loretta; daughter, Debbie Lopez & her husband Pat; sister, Marian White & her husband Vic; grandchildren, Jeramy Allen, and Alexandria & Jessica Lopez. Nena was born on June 25, 1918 in Villa Acuna, Mexico. She settled in San Antonio, Texas before residing in the Pearland area since 1991. She loved to cook and was well known for her pecan pies. Family gatherings and the holidays were always special moments for her when she could spend time with her children and grandchildren, who affectionately called her, “Granny”. Nena was very close with her sister, Cora and she was always there to help her family. She will be fondly missed and greatly remembered by all those who knew and loved her. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Tuscany Village and their staff for their wonderful care and support of Nena. Visitation for Nena is on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at 10:00 am in the Clayton Chapel.
