Obituary of Gloria Joan Zabawa

Gloria Joan Zabawa, 80, passed away September 25, 2021. She is preceded in death by her husband Clarence “Chief” Zabawa; son Michael Zabawa; daughter Christina Lucas; and brothers Tom Groce, and Jerry Groce. Left to cherish Joan’s memory are her sons Christopher Zabawa and wife, Sherri; Ronnie Zabawa and wife, Tiffany; brother Gary Groce and wife, Jolynn; sister in law Glenda Groce; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren, and a host of other dear family and friends. Joan was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who cherished her family. She may have been small in stature, but she lived life to its fullest. Anyone who entered her house were treated as family. Joan was an avid crafter and shared her love of sewing with her grand and great grandchildren. Her larger-than-life presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her as the fiery little redhead she was. Gloria Joan Zabawa and Ronald Leon Wayne Zabawa’s celebration of life will be held Sunday, November 14th, 2021, from 2:00pm-6:00pm at Billy’s Hall, 4070 Wells Drive, Pearland, Texas 77584.
