Billie Laverne Bowles December 9, 1943 – December 14, 2021 Billie Bowles, 78, passed away Tuesday, December 14th. She is preceded in death by her parents, Antone and Reba Coleman Gabriel; husband, Richard M. Bowles ; and brother, Clyde Gabriel. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Ricky Bowles and wife Cynthia; brother, Curtis Gabriel; sister, Donna Alford; and grandson, Tag Bowles; along with a host of other family and friends. Billie was a woman of faith who loved God and His Church. Her Bible study group was near and dear to her heart and studying with them gave her great joy. She was also member of the garden club and enjoyed attending their meetings. Billie was a lady that was always dressed well and loved her jewelry, flashy earrings, flip flops, and anything flamingo. She loved all her family dearly and kept a special place in her heart for her only grandson Tag, as well as her sister Donna. Billie will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Services for Billie will be held at the First United Methodist Church of La Porte. (9601 W. Fairmont Parkway, La Porte, Texas) A visitation will be held on Friday, December 17th from 5 to 7 pm, and her service will be held the following day, Saturday, December 18th, at 11 am.
