Obituary of Lucille Christine Morrison

Lucille Morrison, 83, went to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, February 23rd. She is preceded in death by her parents, Esiquio and Augustina Pineda Sanchez; loving husband, Charles Walter Morrison; siblings, Jose Sanchez, Celso Sanchez, Cypriana Hernandez-Sanchez, Alicia Gonzales, Refugio “Fermin” Sanchez, and Ralph Sanchez. Left to cherish her memory are, her daughter, Cindy Bremer and husband Greg; siblings, Luisa Mendez, Panfilo Sanchez, Rito Sanchez, and Celestino Sanchez; grandchildren, Megan LaRue, Blake Bremer and wife Catherine, Raigan Haas and husband Cody; great grandchildren, Adissyn, Cade, Colt, Liliana, Benjamin and Noralee and a host of other friends and family. Lucille was one of eleven children, born to Esiquio and Augustina Pineda Sanchez, in Caldwell Texas, on December 15, 1938. Lucille loved her family and was especially close to her daughter and granddaughters. She enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Lucille lived a simple and frugal life but got the most out of it. She was a devout Catholic that lived out her faith. She had a special devotion to the Rosary. Lucille was an avid seamstress and was meticulous with every stitch she made. She also had a love for crochet and was as meticulous with it as she was her sewing. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. Services for Lucille will be: Visitation Thursday, March 3 from 6-8 pm at the Clayton Funeral Home Chapel 201 S 3rd La Porte, TX. Mass of Christian Burial Friday, March 4 at 10:00 am at St. Marys’ Catholic Church 816 Park Dr. La Porte Interment: Wednesday, March 9 1:00 pm Houston National Cemetery.
