Shirley Sue Chevalier, 62, passed away on January 22, 2011. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Reba Bivens; her husband, Ira Floyd Chevalier; and her sister, Patsy Ann Brown. Shirley is survived by her sister, Lois Jean Murrah and her husband Dixon; nieces, Beckie Jeanette Bell, Debbie Annette Harris, Sherry Lynn Meador, Starla Marie Meador, and Shana Beth Chaney; great niece, Maylan Bell; great nephews, Ryan Matthew Bell and Cory Nathaniel Bell; as well as a host of many other family and friends. Shirley was the youngest of three girls; where her sisters were blonde with blue eyes, she was a beautiful baby with brown hair and brown eyes. She had a wonderful childhood growing up and playing together with her bigger sisters and cherished the family trips to Arkansas. Shirley was a kind person who gave of herself. She was a hard worker who worked at the Rice Hotel. Shirley took pride in the fact that she was the first female paramedic in Brazoria County. She was an avid animal lover and she loved her dog “Nikki”. Shirley had a very sweet spirit and made friends wherever she went. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. Visitation for Shirley will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home with Funeral Services beginning at 1:00 pm with Rex Forsyth officiating. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery.
