Obituary of Cecilia Degala Arandia

Cecilia Degala Arandia, 57, passed away on February 12, 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Arandia. Cecilia is survived by her parents, Arturo and Loreto Degala; her sons, Albert Clyde Arandia, Jose Benjie Arandia, and Andre Marie Arandia; daughter, Cyd Charisse Arandia Garcia; brothers, Arturo Degala Jr. and Agustin Degala; sisters, Mary Lou Degala, and Teresita Degala; and grandchild, Vincent Adrian Garcia; as well as a host of many other family and friends. “Lily ” or “Cecyl”, as she was affectionately known, loved her family and spending time with all of them. She was a good steward to the Almighty God. She was an avid reader and took great pleasure in cooking for all the family gatherings. Lily was an excellent provider, mother and role-model for her family. She worked very hard at her education and received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Economics as well as a Bachelors degree in Nursing. When the children were younger, she ran the house to make sure they had everything they needed. She was a fighter throughout her illness for 17 years. Lily was always there for her family and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A memorial service for Cecilia will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2011 at 11:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home.
