Aubrey August “Skipper” Joffrion Jr., passed away on June 9, 2009. He is preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey Sr. & Violet (Turner) Joffrion; brother, Richard Joffrion; sister, Phil Webster; and son, Michael Joffrion. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Diane (Copeland) Joffrion; son, Mark Joffrion & his wife, Pam; daughter, Monica Stansberry & her husband, Gary; stepsons, Greg Oslin and Jeff Oslin; brothers, Tim Joffrion, Edward Joffrion & his wife, Kitten, Kenneth Joffrion & his wife, Kathy; sister, Laura Sue Wilson; eight grandchildren; close friends, Pat “Garcia” Pierce, Ron “Moose” Fisher, Dan “Kingfish” Zabcik; lifetime business partner & friend, Achilles “Achi” Kozakis; and a host of many other family & friends.
Aubrey “Skipper” was born on March 25, 1938 in Houston Texas. He was an architect for 50 years and during that time, along with his business partner Achi, founded the company Joffko International specializing in Metal Building design and construction. Skipper could take any idea, create a drawing, then execute it. His friends and business relationships were for life and he always maintained a strong work ethic. Skipper was known to his grandkids as “Grandpa” or “Skippy”. He loved animals and would always save a stray in need. Skipper will always be fondly remembered for working hard and playing hard.
A Memorial Service for Aubrey will take place on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at 3:00 pm in the Clayton Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Keith Anderson of the New Harvest Christian Fellowship in Pearland will be officiating.
