Obituary of James Evans Cranford

James Evans Cranford, 76, of LaPorte, Tx joined his heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. He was born to his late parents, Evans and Rosalie Cranford on January 30, 1947 in Lake Charles, La. He lived in lake Charles and Sulphur la until he moved to LaPorte, Tx in 1989.

James served in the U.S. Air Force doing two tours in Vietnam. He worked for Coca Cola delivering cokes. He worked many years for Olin in Lake Charles, La until he moved to Texas to work for Zeon until he retired in 2011. James's passion was golfing and watching golf. He enjoyed fishing, taking trips and spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Cranford; daughter, Renee Lopez (Michael) of Humble, Tx; son, Evan Cranford (Kayce) of LaPorte, Tx; 6 grandchildren, Nicholas (Deyvn), Gage, Ethan, Gavin, Kylee, and Sadie; 3 great grandchildren Alexis, Wyatt, and Waylon; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

James is preceded in death by brother, Kenneth Cranford, and four sisters, Brenda Ramsey, Claudia Cranford, Pansy Cook and Della Johnson.

A Celebration of James life will be held at Fairmont Park Church in LaPorte, Tx on Saturday, February 25,2023 at 1pm. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday, from 12pm until the time of service.
