Obituary of Ralph Edward Crockett

Ralph Edward Crockett, 57, passed away April 1, 2011. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Crockett and sister, Nancy Crockett Barfield. Ralph is survived by his mother, Margaret Crockett; daughter, Karyn Crockett Olvera; step daughters, Heather Fisher and her husband Ted, and Stephanie Bellew-Valles and her husband Alex; sisters, Faye Crockett Wever and her husband Mark, Susan Crockett Kutch and her husband Robert, and Ginny Crockett Farley and her husband Doug, grandson, Osca Daniel Olvera Jr.; step grandchildren, Joshua Fisher, Jordan Spurlock, and Gabriel Valles; as well as a host of many other family and friends.
Ralph served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He followed in the family footsteps and became an electrician. When not working, Ralph enjoyed spending time either on the water fishing or hunting. He was an excellent provider for his family and enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible. Ralph was fondly known to his grandson as Pa Pa. He had an excellent sense of humor throughout his entire life. Ralph battled cancer with great determination and courage. He was a fighter until the very end. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A visitation for Ralph will be on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 6 until 8 pm at Clayton Funeral Home at 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581. A graveside service with military honors will be on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at 9:30 am at Houston National Cemetery with Dr. Bob Joiner officiating.
