Obituary of Juliana Diane Hagger
Juliana “Julie” Hagger, 57, peacefully took off the flesh surrounded by family on Friday, July 7, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her mother Helen Lucille Jeffery, sister Michelle Swanson, and her daughter Tocarro Swanson-Sanders. Julie was born February 10, 1966, in Houston, Texas to the late Helen Lucille Jeffery. She is survived by her sisters: Beverly Williams, and Donna Monroe (Derrick) of Texas; daughters: Jocelyn Wilson-Payne (Christopher), Xandria Cole (Kyle); grandchildren: Jordayn Sanders, Jibril Johns, Xara Cole, Cairo Payne and a host of relatives and loving friends. She will be forever cherished in the lives of many who loved and cared tremendously about her. She made an impact on everyone she met, and they all called her “Nanny” or “Nana”.
She completed her high school education at Kashmere High School. She later attended Houston Community College and received her Associate Degree and then the University of Houston Downtown where she received her Bachelors and Master’s Degree. She was employed with Houston Community College as a Financial Aid Coordinator, where she would retire after 34 years of service. She loved taking care of her grandbabies, playing tennis, swimming, and traveling.
From the time of her youth, Julie was always a very religious young woman. In 1989, Julie had a life changing experience. The great Yahweh-Elohim, creator of Heaven and Earth, drew her to the Institute of Divine Metaphysical Research (IDMR), where she has since come to know the creator in spirit and truth. Julie has remained a faithful and dedicated member to this day. She also served as secretary, sang in the choir, and played softball. Although she was diagnosed with incurable cancer, Julie’s confidence and faith in Dr. Kinley never wavered and she was able to take off the flesh with a surety of where she will spend eternity!!!
Juliana “Julie” had an immeasurable love for her grandbabies, family, and friends. She enjoyed having family gatherings, taking care of her grandbabies, and sharing special moments with those she loved. Julie made an impact on everyone she met. She loved music and had an amazing sense of humor. She was the epitome of optimism. She always wanted the best for everyone, and she always had a plan for everything as well as encouraging others to make sure they had a plan. Julie will be remembered for her loving smile, generous disposition, and her willingness to help others.
In lieu of flowers, Juliana's family asks that you consider making a donation to assist with funeral expenses, or towards a charity of your choice in her honor.
