Obituary of Mark Anthony Parker Sr.
Mark Anthony Parker, 64, was born on September 8, 1959, in Houston, Texas to Anthony and Patti Parker. Mark passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 28, 2023.
Mark leaves behind his mother, two children Mark Parker Jr and Tiffany Parker, granddaughter Kaylin Parker, three siblings, numerous nieces and nephews, and a vast number of friends who will greatly miss him.
As a youngster, Mark enjoyed reading, drawing, and jamming out to Lynyrd Skynyrd’s music. At the start of Mark’s working years, you could find him on the open water being Captain Parker where he had a very successful career. After many years on the boat, he started turning wrenches and became an exceptional diesel mechanic. Mark enjoyed playing golf, fishing, and hitting up the local casinos to try his luck out. He not only enjoyed a good home cooked meal but enjoyed whipping up a meal for everyone to enjoy with his signature dish being enchiladas that were to die for. After retiring, you could find Mark out on the tractor, outside working on something or giving his advice to his son on how to fix whatever truck he may be working on. His favorite stories to tell were either about being Captain of the boat or about his children, Markie Jr and Tiffany. Mark will be greatly missed by all that knew him and loved him.
