Obituary of Billy Dwain Miller

Billy Dwain Miller, 70, passed away on May 2, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Velma Miller; and his loving wife, Penny Miller. Billy is survived by his sons, Scott Miller and Jerry Martino and his wife, Elena; daughter, Angie Minatrea and her husband, Kevin; brother, Gene Miller; grandchildren, Daniel, Lauren, Linda, Alyona, Nikki and Andi; as well as a host of many other family and friends.
Billy and Penny were married for more than 25 years and he was a dedicated husband and father. He was a 32° Master Mason and was an endowed member of the C.F. Spencer Lodge Pearland as well as a Member of Pearland and Friendswood Eastern Star. Billy was also involved in the Houston Scottish Rite and Arabian Shrine. The Masonic Lodge was a large part of his life. He received his 50 year pin for his service as a Journeyman Lineman from the IBEW Union Local 66.
Billy was a lifelong outdoorsman who enjoyed all types of hunting and fishing. He was affectionately known to his grandkids as “Pappy.” He loved his family dearly and was a wonderful provider and role model for his family. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A visitation for Billy will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home at 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 10:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home with interment to follow at SouthPark Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Billy’s honor to the Shriners Hospital for Children or to Houston Hospice.
