Obituary of Alfred Resendez

Alfred Resendez Sr., 75, passed away on August 31, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arnulfo and Pauline Resendez; his loving wife of 45 years, Alene G. Resendez; son, Arnold Resendez; sisters, Josephine Escobar, Pauline Veracruz, and Elvira Juarez. Alfred is survived by his son, Alfred Resendez, Jr.; daughters, Linda Yanez and her husband, Jesus, JoAnn Almaguer and her husband, Armando, Susie Guerrero and her husband, Angel, Freda Jimenez and her husband, Mario, and Mary Montemayor and her husband Jose, Francis Moreno and her husband, Ezequiel, and Patricia Martinez; two grandchildren raised as son and daughter, Angelica Torres and her husband, Samuel and Alfred Resendez III; brother, Fernando Resendez and his wife, Lupe, Rudy Resendez Sr., Arnulfo Resendez Jr., and Joe Resendez; sister, Susie Palamidy and her husband, Andy; thirty-nine grandchildren, one hundred and three great grandchildren; twenty-seven great great grandchildren, and a host of many other family and friends.
Alfred was very proud of his family and all of his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. He had a great sense of humor but was very outspoken and you always knew where he stood on everything. He was a proud second generation carpenter. Alfred was a Master Carpenter and worked for Tilson Homes for many years. He helped remodel several of his children’s homes and built a tree house for his children when they were younger and playhouses for his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, September 2, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm with a Rosary recited by Deacon Bob Leicht at 7:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 10:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home with Msgr. Reginald R. Nesvadba officiating. Interment will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
