Diamantina (Valdez) Barron, 51, passed away on September 10, 2011. Diamond was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard and Julia Valdez; and her sister, Maria Vega. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Robert Barron; sons, Roberto Barron and Isaac Barron; daughter, Cynthia Barron; brothers, Manuel Valdez and his wife, Julia, Bernard Valdez and his wife, Sylvia, Martin Valdez and Romiro Valdez and his wife, Juanita; sisters, Beatrice Valdez and her husband, Miguel, Dora Morales and her husband, Juan, and Julia Morales and her husband, Chema; and a host of many other family and friends. Diamond and Robert first met as teenagers in Houston and were later married in July 1980. Diamond loved working with children and volunteered for the Pearland ISD before getting a permanent position and working for more than 15 years. She loved her work and was very dedicated to her family as well as her job. Diamond grew up in a large family and always looked forward to the times she had to spend with her family. She had a strong faith and enjoyed her church. Diamond will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A visitation for Diamond will be held on Monday, September 12, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581. The Funeral service will be Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 10:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Himmel officiating and assisted by Earl Cramp. Interment will follow at SouthPark Cemetery.
