Obituary of Alfrieda Lombard Lawlor

Alfrieda Lombard Lawlor, 94, passed away on September 10, 2011. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Lombard, second husband, John Lawlor; and eight brothers and sisters. Frieda is survived by her sons, James Lombard and his wife, Sharon, and Paul Lombard and his wife, Paulette; daughter, Nancy Kubiszyn and her husband, Tom; sister, Teresa Jachimowicz and her husband, Vic; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; and a host of many other family and friends.
Freida grew up in the Buffalo, New York area before marrying her first husband, Edward Lombard, who she was happily married to for more than 40 years. Freida and her second husband, John Lawlor were married for than 13 years until his death. She enjoyed good health for most all of her life and she enjoyed traveling all over the world. Knitting and bocce ball were some of her favorite pastimes and she stayed active with her homeowners association in Florida, where she lived for more than 30 years. She was also active in her church and Senior Center in Gulfport, Florida. Frieda will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2011 at 9:30 am at St. Bernard Parish in Buffalo, New York with Father Frank Chmielewski officiating. Interment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Frieda’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association, the American Kidney Foundation or the charity of your choice.
