Obituary of Joseph John Postany

Joseph John Postany, 55, passed away on October 12, 2011. He is survived by his father, Joseph Postany Sr. of Omaha, Nebraska; mother, JoAnne Ruppel Jorgenson of Fremont, Nebraska; fiancée, Sandy Cheshire; son, Travis Postany and his fiancée, Leslie; brother, Steven Postany and his wife Debbi; sister, Candy Moody; niece Jamiee Moody; uncle Jack Ruppel and his wife, Tootie; and a host of many other family and friends. Joe grew up as a Nebraska farm boy and proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. He enjoyed golf, cars, Nascar, the Conrhuskers and his 1966 Chevelle that he and Travis built together. Joe and Sandy had been together for seven years and enjoyed spending time with family. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe’s honor to Odyssey Hospice for the kind and wonderful care they showed Joe and his family during his illness. The family will be receiving friends at their home for a memorial service on Sunday, October 16, 2011 from 5:00 until 7:00 pm.
