Obituary of Reynaldo Diaz Soliz

Reynaldo Diaz Soliz, 78, passed away on November 19, 2011. He is preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Leanorda Soliz and son, Jesse Jon Soliz. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Stella Soliz; sons, Reynaldo Soliz Jr. and wife, Rose, Ricardo Soliz and wife, Linda; daughters, Mary Muhammad and husband, Ali; daughter-in-law, Paula Soliz; brothers, Julian Soliz and wife, Grace, Luis Soliz and wife, Rosie, Oscar Soliz, Joe Soliz and wife, Bertha; sister, Eva Flores and husband, Danny; fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Ray enjoyed a good conversation with everyone he met. He was very active throughout his life and enjoyed staying busy all the time. Ray served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was a proud patriotic veteran. His favorite times were always family gatherings with good music and playing his accordion. Ray enjoyed music of all types and especially looked forward to any chance he got to dance with Stella or his kids. He was a good provider for his family and he was an accomplished welder who worked for Powell Electric for many years. Ray will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A visitation for Ray will be on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm with a Rosary recited by Deacon Darvin Bordelon at 7:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 11:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home with Reverend David Zapalac officiating. Internment will follow at Alvin Cemetery.
