Obituary of Patti Sue Donnelly

Patti Sue Donnelly, 56, passed away on February 7, 2012. She is preceded in death by her mother, Donna French. Patti is survived by her father, Wilton French; her loving husband of 35 years, Stephen Donnelly; son, James Donnelly and wife, Lindsey; daughter, Sarah Evans and husband, Shone; grandchildren Patrick Evans and Lilly Kate Donnelly; and a host of other family and friends. Patti was a loving and caring wife, mother, and Nana to her family. She was very involved in the Texas Fireman’s Auxiliary. Patti was an accomplished musician on the French horn and performed all over the world including at Carnegie Hall. Her love of the French horn also extended to teaching others. Some of Patti’s favorite hobbies also included sewing, knitting and cooking for her family. She was always there to offer help and support with any of James or Sarah’s activities. Patti fought a courageous and valiant battle with cancer and was in remission at the time of her passing. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A visitation for Patti will be held on Thursday, February 9, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm, with a Rosary recited at 7:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581. The Funeral service will take place on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Rd., Pearland, TX 77584 with Father Reginald Nesvadba officiating. Pallbearers for the service will include members of the Houston Fire Department, Station 26. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to the Texas Fireman’s Auxiliary Scholarship Fund in care of Shirley Popp at P.O. Box 191, Louise, TX 77455 or to the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society at www.lls.org.
