Obituary of Javier Flores
Please share a memory of Javier to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Javier Flores, 74, passed away on February 17, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, Adolfo and Josefina Flores. Javier is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Maria Flores; sons, Javier Flores and wife, Melva, Ulises Flores and wife, Dayra, David Flores and wife, Danielle; daughters, Beatrice Peterson and husband, Mark, Iliana Flores; brothers, Adolfo and Herman Flores; sister, Elvira Flores; eleven grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends.
Javier was a master machinist for most of his life. After his retirement as a machinist, he became an owner/operator truck driver in and around the Houston area. Javier had a strong work ethic and prided himself on passing on that trait to his family. He still made parts for his son’s truck and looked forward to the challenge of making parts that were better than the original ones. He was affectionately known to his grandchildren as “Apa”. Javier loved to travel with his family and enjoyed the outdoors and visiting the National Parks. In his free time, Javier was fond of researching his ancestry and developing his family tree. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A visitation for Javier will be held on Monday, February 20, 2012 at 10:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. Following the visitation a Rosary and Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 noon at the funeral home with Father Charles Lynch of Sacred Heart Catholic Church officiating.
