Obituary of Thin Van Nguyen

Thin Van Nguyen, of Pearland, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2008. He is survived by his loving wife, Thanh Huong Nguyen; sons, Tung Nguyen & his wife Nga Le, Tuyen Nguyen & his wife Lan-Phuong Vu; daughter, Hao Nguyen & her husband Phan; sister, Tho Nguyen; grandchildren, Tony, Katrina, & Phoung-Vi Nguyen; a host of other relatives and friends. Thin was born on July 5, 1928 in Hanoi, Vietnam. He was the youngest son in a family of five sons and two daughters. He moved to Saigon, the South of Vietnam, in 1953 after the separation of the country, where he worked as the Account Secretary of the Ministry Department of South Vietnam until 1975, after the collapse of South Vietnam. Thin married at Nha Trang in 1959 and had three children, two sons and one daughter. In 1991, he moved to California and later settled permanently in the Houston area in 1994. Thin will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father and religious person. He will be greatly missed. Visitation for Thin will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2008, from 12 pm to 3 pm and Sunday, August 3, 2008, from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Clayton Funeral Home Chapel. A Cremation Service at Chapel of the Pines Crematory in Crosby, Texas, will be held on Monday, August 4, 2008 at 10:00 am.
