Timoteo P. Demen, 93, passed away on March 4, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, Basilio and Teresa Demen, two brothers Jose and Ignacio, one sister Trinidad Peralta, son, Elmer Demen and grandson, Ranier Demen. Timoteo was survived by wife, Doring Demen; sons, Roger Demen (Juliet), Junior Demen (Lara), Rolly Demen (Ruth), Obet Demen (Ally), Romy Demen (Rocha), Ruben Demen (Fannie); daughters, Edith Zaldivar (Nando), Nida Menn, Salve Demen, Edna Dela Cruz (Romy), Eden Sanchez (Patrick); twenty-five grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Timoteo was a proud Filipino and a proud American. He was a New Filipino Scout for the United States Army during World War II. He and Doring were happily married for more than 69 years. Timoteo was an avid reader that loved to read how-to books, newspapers and current events his entire life. He managed to maintain good health throughout his life and everyone wanted to know his secret. Timoteo cherished his family and loved every opportunity he had to spend time with them. He was especially known for his punctuality and for being ready for the day to begin. Timoteo will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A visitation for Timoteo will be held on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from 6:30 until 9:00 pm with a Rosary recited by Deacon Dale Almenario at 7:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581. His funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father David Zapalac officiating. Interment will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
