Obituary of Cecil Walter Hooper

Cecil Walter Hooper, 88, passed away on May 7, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Mary Hooper; and son, David Hooper. Cecil is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Loretta Hooper; sons, Larry Hooper and wife, Suzanne; grandchildren, Jennifer, Joshua, Jacob, Clarissa, Nicole, And Michael; great grandchildren, Kelly, Dominic, and Mason; and a host of other family and friends. Cecil was a highway patrolman for 28 years and after retirement he enjoyed restoring and showing his antique tractors. He and Loretta also enjoyed traveling all over the country and throughout Europe. Cecil was affectionately known to his grandchildren as “Grandpa.” He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A Graveside service with Military Honors will be held for Cecil on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at 11:30 am at Houston National Cemetery.
