To Domingo Sr., Domingo Jr., and the Clayburn Family,
Though I did not have the honor of meeting Donna, I am sure that she was a light in the lives of those who knew her. You honor me by sharing your sad news, and I am grateful to have an opportunity to give my condolences.
When I lost my aunt a couple of years back, I was devastated, she was like my second mother. To think of the times we would not get to share was almost too much to bear. But then I realized that she was not truly lost, that God loved my family so much, that he allowed someone so special to touch our lives, and leave us all the warmth and love that she had given us.
So, when you feel like you are just going through the motions, remember that God’s love will carry us through the tough times and that in the end our new life will begin with those who loved us on earth.
To Domingo Jr.,
I have known you for almost a year, and I enjoy working with you, and I want you to know that I care about you like a brother and if you ever need someone to talk to, I will be there. I know that you will be strong for those in your family when they need a helping hand and I know that you have been blessed with a loving family, never forget that. I am sorry for your family’s loss, but I know that God will continue to be with you and watch over you in your time of need.
Your friend,
Stephen Spriggs
10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious
right hand.

My Donna,
What a special time we had on Friday. I thank God that He gave me that time with you. For so long we tried to get together, and it was only through God that we came together again, just one more time before you went Home. I remember through the years of our friendship, holding you while you cried for your babies, now grown into men. I remember all the fun times we had together. I remember our troubled times together. But most of all I remember the great love that you had for your family and your children. I always looked up to you for that strength and I wanted to be as strong as you were. Well I made it My Donna. Although your family always accepted me as their own, I am now with my own family and living a wanderful life.
That’s one of the reasons I wanted to see you, so that you could see what I had finally made of myself. My Donna, you will always be my little guiding light in life. You are truely an inspiration, not only to me, but I am sure lots of others as well. Thank you for being the person you were in my life. So I will say this,as I have said to you many times in the past…”I Love You My Beautiful Donna…Goodbye.
To Donna’s Family:
Just a few lines to let you know that I may not be there in body, but my spirit is there with you all. I love you all, more than you know. I remember when I too was a part of your beautiful family and feel that I still am. I am so sorry for your great loss. Please know that if there is anything that I can do for you all, I will do my best to accomodate. I love and miss you all.
Love,
Sandi

I Only knew you from the Ellington BX, but when I would see you there it was like seeing a close friend. You always had a warm greeting and even a hug for an old, white haired Veteran. Your warmth and bright smile will be sorely missed. But as the 91st Psalm has said “He will raise you up on Eagle’s wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of his hand.†Certainly, the Lord is even now holding our much loved and to be missed Donna “in the palm of His handâ€.

Donna’s boys.
Thinking and praying for you. I’ve been remembering Donna as the little girl I first met. Nana Lewis called her Minnie and somehow that always seemed the right name. She was so cute and sweet and I always loved the way she said Aunt Nancy. She was so respectful to me and kind. My heart goes out to each of you.
