Obituary of Guadalupe Rios

Guadalupe Rios, 85, passed away on July 10, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rafael and Maria Rios; his loving wife of 55 years, Lydia A. Rios; and brothers, Baudelio and Alfonso Rios. Lupe is survived by his sons, Gilbert Rios, Marcos Rios, and wife, Raquel; daughters, Maria L. Rush and husband, Samuel W., Josephine Pope and husband, Joseph, Angelita Faisal and husband, Jorge; sister, Petra Rios; grandchildren, Samuel A. and Steve A. Lopez, Louis Pelata, Steve and Maria Elena Conchita Shelly, Monica Rios, Marla Rubalcava, Celena Rios, Bo A. Calvo, Alexandra Lydia Mohan, Jorge Faisal; great-grandchildren, Jazmine J. and Michael A. Lopez, Sophia Pelata, Bailey A. Jones, Araceli and Ignacio Rubalcava, Albert E., Cassandra M., Briana L. and Anthony R. Calvo, Isaiah M. Zaragoza; and a host of other family and friends. Lupe was a God fearing man that preached God’s Word and sang his praises. He loved music and played the guitar, piano and accordion. Lupe was an excellent provider for his family and was self-employed the majority of his life as a painter. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A visitation for Lupe will be held on Sunday, July 15, 2012 from 4:00 until 6:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral service will take place at Clayton Funeral Home on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 11:30 am with interment to follow at SouthPark Cemetery.
