Obituary of Maureen Daniels Holmes

Holmes, Maureen Daniels 93, passed away peacefully at her home on July 31, 2012. She was preceded in death by her parents Kennard and Vera Daniels; husband, Orville H. Holmes and three brothers. Maureen is survived by her two sons, Michael Holmes and his wife Mary and Paul Holmes; grandson, Seth Holmes; granddaughter, Jennifer D. Chomout and her husband Richard; and three great grandchildren, Skyler, Noah and Brynn Chomout. God gave her two gifts which were longevity of life and a loving family. She and Orville were married for 55 years. Maureen enjoyed reading her paper and keeping up with current and world events. She was blessed with a sharp mind throughout her life and never complained about anything. One of her favorite quotes was just “go with the flow”. Maureen was always dedicated to her family and would put their needs ahead of her own. She was looked upon as the matriarch of her family and everyone looked to her for her wisdom and counsel. Happiness to Maureen was a bowl of Blue Bell Ice Cream. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. The graveside service will be held on Friday, August 3, 2012 at 1:00 pm at SouthPark Cemetery at 1310 N. Main Pearland, TX 77581 with Pastor Keith Anderson of New Harvest Church officiating.
