Obituary of Helen Elizabeth Brackman

Mrs. Helen E. Brackman affectionately known as “MeMaw” age 94, long time resident ofPearland,Texas went to be with her Lord, Friday, August 3, 2012. She was born February 17, 1918 in Windsor,Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Blanche Sutton her husband of 33 years Bertram B. Brackman and son-in-law Lloyd Benoit. She lived a long and fulfilling life centered around her family and friends. She was a member of Shadycrest Baptist Church, Pearland where she was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class. She was blessed with many talents and a sharp mind mixed with a sense of humor and wit. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-laws Joel and Darvon Webb of LulingTexas, Joan Benoit ofDuson,Louisiana, Linda and Paul Ballard ofPearland,Texas. Son, Thomas Taylor and special friend Robbie Groth of Magnolia, Texas, 6 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great Great Grandsons and one Great Grandson due December 2012. The graveside service will be held 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Cemetery,8701 Almeda Genoa Rd. Houston,Texas, 77075 August 11, 2012. For those unable to attend the graveside service, the family would like to invite you to join them at the reception and memorial celebration to be held at 1:30 p.m. at the La Quinta Inn, 9002 Broadway, Pearland, Texas. The family extends a special invitation to the Friendship Class to attend the reception and memorial celebration. The family would also like to thank Helen’s special friend, Jo Maples for her love and devotion to Helen. Arrangements are under the direction of Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the church or charity of your choice.
