Robert Arandia, age 53 of Pearland, passed away on July 21, 2009. He is preceded in death by his parents, Salvador Arandia & Cresencia Go. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Cecilia (Degala) Arandia; sons, Albert, Jose, & Andre Arandia; daughter, Cyd Charisse Arandia Garcia; brothers, Jose Arandia; sisters, Susan Liang, Trini Sumpter, Virgie Arandia, Corazon Laurente, Sue Arandia, Purita, Omen, Delia Suazo, & Patsy Arandia; grandson, Vincent Garcia; and a host of many other family & friends.
Robert was born on October 14, 1955 in Tacloban City, Philippines. By trade, he was an engineer and worked for seven years in Tucson at the University of Arizona. Robert’s father taught him how to play tennis and he enjoyed the game his entire life. He was also an accomplished guitar player and a handyman who could fix just about anything. Robert enjoyed working at Memorial Hermann Southeast Hospital during his time in Texas. Robert will always be remembered as a loving husband and wonderful provider who was very proud and supportive of his entire family.
Visitation for Robert is on Friday, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 10:00 am in the Clayton Chapel.
