Obituary of Carrie Kathleen O’Neill

Carrie Kathleen O’Neill, 87, passed away on August 18, 2012. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arlandrus and Minnie Everett; former husband, William “Bill” O’Neill; brother, T.A. Everett; sister, Lucille Burgess; and grandson, Joshua Thomas Gibbs. Carrie is survived by her son, William “Tony” O’Neill and wife, Margie; daughter, Kathleen Gibbs and husband, Tom; grandchildren, Sean, Patrick and Kevin O’Neill, Zachary, Seth and Meredith Gibbs; great granddaughter, Evangeline Gibbs; and a host of other family and friends. Carrie was a true “Southern Belle” who always believed in good manners. She thought it was always important to look and act your best and she dressed impeccably. Many joked that Carrie had a master’s degree in shopping and she loved shopping at Wal-Mart and the Dollar Stores. She was involved in the Garden Club in Bellaire and enjoyed the social aspects of the club. Carrie was also active at thePearlandSeniorCenterand looked forward to the many activities and events there. Throughout her life, Carrie loved traveling to different parts of the world and experiencing the many different cultures. She was affectionately known as “Granny” to her grandchildren and cherished any opportunity she had to spend time with them. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A visitation for Carrie will be held on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at noon with the service following at 1:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Tom Gibbs officiating. The interment will take place at Salt Lake City Cemetery in Utah.
