Obituary of Kenneth Gene Clark

Kenneth “Ken” Gene Clark, 77, passed away on September 12, 2012. He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Wilma Clark; brother, Raymond Clark; and sister, LouAnn Forrest. Ken is survived by his loving wife, Ria Clark; daughters, Sigrid Pierce and her husband, Casey, Susan Clark-Hammock and her husband, Patrick; special close family friends Douglas and Cheri Dentry and their sons, Drake and Grant that affectionately called him “Opa”; and a host of other family and friends. Ken was a patriotic man that proudly served in the United States Army and Navy for more than 16 years. While he was stationed in Germany, he met the love of his life, Ria, and they spent more than 50 years together. Ken worked for Texas Instruments for more than 24 years. He was an excellent provider and role model for his family. Ken especially enjoyed traveling, dancing, going to flea markets and spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses on the 3rd Floor of the Michael E. DeBakey Veteran’s Hospital for their kind and helpful care of Ken. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ken’s honor to the VFW Post 7109, Disabled Veterans, the Pearland Animal Shelter or to the Pearland Boy Scout Troop 486. A memorial service for Ken will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at 10:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581 with Father James Courville officiating.
