Obituary of Mary Olga Beverly

Mary Olga Beverly, 77, passed away on September 22, 2012 . She is preceded in death by her parents, Cecilio and Maria Gomez; her husband, Randall Beverly; her brothers, Raul, Julian and Cecil Gomez; and her sister, Hermila Reyna. Mary is survived by her seven children, Cliff Spivey; Michael Spivey and wife, Nancy; Laura Andrews and husband, Robert; Cassie Schmitt and husband, Joe; Scott Beverly and wife, Debbi; Jon Beverly and wife, Amy; and Chris Beverly. She will be greatly missed by her two surviving sisters, Esther Solis and husband, Julian and Frances Gonzalez and husband, Manuel as well as sixteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and her beloved dog, Mitsy. Mary met the love of her life, Randall while working together at a nuclear test site in Las Vegas, Nevada where they later married on June 19, 1970 . Through their 40 wonderful years together they enjoyed taking family vacations and traveled most of the country visiting family and friends. It was always very important for Mary to spend time and stay in close contact with her family. Even though they lived miles away, she and her sisters would talk on the phone several times a day. Mary loved the holidays and decorated her home for each season. Her favorite holiday was Christmas because she loved to wrap presents, make ornaments and decorate the house with nutcrackers as well as shop for hours and hours finding everyone the perfect gift. She loved to watch soap operas, collect Fiesta dishes, make crafts and read magazines and cookbooks searching for new recipes and ideas. Mary will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service for Mary will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 10:30 am at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, TX 77581 with Pastor Keith Anderson officiating
