Obituary of Edgar Matthew Zammit

Edgar Matthew Zammit, 95, passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Ernestine Zammit. Edgar is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Elva Zammit; sons, Ronald Zammit and wife, Kay, Kent Zammit and wife, Sue; daughters, Pattie Zammit and fiancé Gerald, Lisa Davenport and husband, William; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Edgar proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during World War II. He went to work for Exxon and retired after 45 years of service. Edgar and Elva worked together at Exxon for many years. Family always came first to him and he cherished every opportunity he had to spend time with them. Edgar enjoyed good health for most of his life and enjoyed walking until August of 2012. He attributed much of his longevity to his two long walks a day. Edgar will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A memorial service for Edgar will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 11:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Pastor John Redmond officiating.
