Obituary of Bonnie Johnston-Lewis
Please share a memory of Bonnie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Bonnie Johnston-Lewis, 65, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 7, 2013. She is preceded in death by her father, Nelson Johnston. Bonnie is survived by her mother, Bette Johnston; son, Scott Troyer and wife, Ruby; daughters, Michelle Morris and husband, Adam, and Ashley Morales; brother, Corky Johnston; grandchildren, Syin Troyer, Mila and Mateo Morris, Ariana and Alyssa Morales; and a host of other family and friends.
Bonnie, lovingly known as “Bebe,” was honest, artistic, creative, compassionate, and caring. She was devoted to her family and cherished every opportunity she had to spend time with her children and grandchildren. Bonnie regularly sacrificed for friends, co-workers and family, whether it was caring for her mother as she grew older, buying extra Christmas presents for a family in need, or opening her home to someone without a place to stay. Always brave, she worked tirelessly, often two and three jobs at a time, to make a better life for her three children. She did not complain or relent but selflessly gave to everyone in her path. The purity of Bonnie’s love and kindness represented the best of her generation and made her family very proud. Though Bonnie lived a full and happy life, she was called home early. As much sadness as this last year brought, her family is thankful for their time together and Bonnie’s unlimited sacrifices and love. They will carry her spirit and legacy forward; she will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Bonnie’s Life on Saturday, February 2, 2013 from 2pm-7pm at 3310 St. Charles Ct., Missouri City, Texas 77459. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bonnie’s honor to “Meals on Wheels” or to the National Brain Tumor Society.
