Obituary of Charles Earl Burney

Charles Earl Burney, 69, passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2013. He is preceded in death by his father, James F. Burney and brother, James D. Burney. Charles is survived by his mother, Mildred Bess Burney; his loving wife, Donna Burney; brother, John R. Burney and his wife, Linda; sister-in-law, Pat Burney; and a host of other family and friends. Charles enjoyed golf and fishing. He and Donna always looked forward to traveling on vacation especially to Hawaii. Charles was an avid dog lover and would even pick up and bring home strays. It is also important to note that Charles was survived by his beloved dog, “Gabby.” He was active in his community and was a charter member of the 288 Pearland Rotary Club. Charles will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A funeral service for Charles will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581.
