Obituary of Ivan Foster Hudson

Ivan Foster Hudson, 79, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lewis and Irene Hudson; and son, Stephen Hudson. Ivan is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Martha Hudson; sons, John Hudson and wife, Claire, Robert Hudson and wife, Danae, and Michael Hudson; brothers, Lawrence, Hugh and Leroy Hudson; grandchildren, Jason and Zac Hudson, Rebecca Hill, Joshua Hudson; great grandchildren, Chase Hudson and Aidan Hudson; and a host of other family and friends. Ivan and Martha met at a bowling alley and together, bowled for many years. They enjoyed traveling all over the world; visiting family, going on bowling tournaments or just to visit new places. Ivan was an active bridge player and could be found many days in a game with his friends in Country Place. He was even known to pick up a game on the cruises when he and Martha traveled. Ivan maintained a sharp mind even as his body was failing. Martha and Ivan were very active in the Country Place community and enjoyed the many dear friendships they developed over the years. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A visitation for Ivan will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2013 from 2:00 until 4:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral service will take place on Monday, April 22, 2013 at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
