Obituary of Ignacio Avalos

Ignacio Avalos, 60, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jacinto and Luisa Avalos. Ignacio is survived by his loving wife, of 41 years, Rosa Avalos; sons, Ignacio Avalos Jr. and wife, Areka, Eduardo Avalos; daughter, Erica Avalos-Mendiola and husband, Pedro; two brothers, three sisters; grandchildren, Ariel Ashley Avalos, Sara Marie Avalos, and Edward Avalos Jr.; and a host of other family and friends. Ignacio was a very hard working and proud man that led his family by example. He started working in construction with a shovel and grew to become a construction superintendent. He was very mechanical and could fix just about anything. He was known to his co-workers as “Tony” or “Antonio”. Ignacio loved fishing and would go whenever he could. He was affectionately known as “Abuelo” to his grandchildren and cherished every opportunity he had to spend time with them. Ignacio will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A visitation for Ignacio will be held on Thursday, May 9, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
