Obituary of Helen Carpenter

Helen Carpenter, 89, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Stanchoff; her first husband, William Booth and second husband, Earl Carpenter; sons, Billy and Daniel Booth; sisters, Mary Gallina and Olga Karnes. Helen is survived by her daughter, Mary Ellen Owens and husband, Ken; brother, Joseph Pankuch and wife, Beverly; grandchildren, Dan Booth, Jason Owens, Jennifer Zwolinski, Kevin Owens, Billy Booth and Adam Owens; ten great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Helen owned a cake decorating business for 24 years where she made cakes and taught cake decorating. She was married to William Booth for 41 years until his death in 1985. Helen loved her family very much and along with her cake decorating, worked for the school district for many years in the food service department. Helen married Earl Carpenter and they lived in Alice, Texas for 17 more years until his death in 2006. She remained in Alice until 2009 when she came to live with her daughter and be closer to her family. Helen will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A funeral service for Helen will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 4:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Pastor John Salminen. A graveside service will take place at Roselawn Cemetery in Alice, Texas on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 4:00 pm.
