Obituary of Ronald Dee Lawrence

Ronald “Ron” Dee Lawrence, 72, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd Evans and Ruth Lawrence; sister, Shirley Lauck. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Iris Lawrence; son, Jeff Lawrence; daughter, Wendy Lawrence; brother, Ben Lawrence and wife, Joan; grandchildren, Connor and Shannon Johnson; and a host of other family and friends. Ron proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard and received several medals and awards throughout his distinguished 20 year career. Throughout his service in the Coast Guard, he and his family traveled and lived all over the country from east to west coast and to the Hawaiian Islands. Ron was an avid golfer and enjoyed camping, fishing and spending time in the outdoors. He passed his love of nature on to his family and his daughter, Wendy, who now lives in Alaska and continues to fish and spend time in the great outdoors. Ron was a wonderful husband, father and PaPa that cherished spending time with his family. He was always a man of great integrity and had a strong faith. Ron will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A Memorial Service for Ron will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 1:00 pm at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 5515 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Pastor Jon Salminen officiating.
