Obituary of Fred Marius Kohring

Fred Marius Kohring, 73, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Lydia Kohring; and wife, Sandra V. Kohring. Fred is survived by his son, Fred Ulrich Kohring and wife, Becky; daughter, Sharlene Dee Kohring and fiance, Thomas W. Priebe; sister, Verlin Wickel; grandchildren, Junior and Kristal Whittington, Kyle and Samantha Henshall, and Blake Logan Kohring; great grandchildren, Kaelon Whittington, Abigail and Madelyn Henshall; and a host of other family and friends.
Fred grew up and attended school in Brenham where he graduated from Brenham High School. After graduation, he enrolled at Blinn Junior College where he would go on to earn his Associate of Arts Degree. Fred proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was stationed in various places across the country before being sent overseas to serve in Korea, Okinawa, Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam. He had a lengthy career with Rainbo Baking Co for almost 30 years as a Sales Supervisor and finished his career with Regal Sand Co. in 2003. Fred had a strong work ethic and passed on the importance of always working hard to his children. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A visitation for Fred will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. A Graveside Service will take place on Friday, September 13, 2013 at 12:00 pm at Park Cemetery in Madisonville, Texas.
The directions to Park Cemetery from Houston are as follows: Take Interstate 45 North to Spur 67. At Spur 67 exit and stay on the feeder road for roughly 3.3 miles to Boyd Road. Take left and go under the I-45 overpass and proceed to the next stop sign where you will turn left on 104 and follow the road around to the cemetery.
