Please share a memory of Arturo to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Arturo “Art” M. Ramos, 63, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013. He is preceded in death by his parents; and son, Taylor Myers III. Art is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Debbie Myers; son, Artie; daughter, Sandi Grizzle and husband, Kevin; brother, Reynaldo Martinez; sisters, Maria Everett and husband, Ray, Frances Martinez; seven grandchildren, Gianna, Amber, Justin, Blake, Hayden, Hallie, and Mackenzie; his beloved dog, “Niblet”; and a host of other family and friends.
Art was a man of strong faith and devotion who cared deeply for his family. He was a master of organization, and had the patience to teach others. Because of his mechanical mind, he could fix anything. He was a skilled engineer by trade and loved building models, train tracks, and robotics. Mostly, though, he enjoyed working on his truck and his grandkids’ mini bikes and go-carts. He and Debbie enjoyed boating, bumming on the beach, traveling, dining out, and spending time with their family and friends. Throughout the years, Art mastered the art of conversation. He could talk himself into and out of anything! Art enjoyed old movies, antagonizing, teasing, and tickling his grandkids, and hosting barn parties with his friends. He will forever be remembered for his generous and caring nature and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A Memorial Service for Art will be held on Friday, September 20, 2013 at 11:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Pastor Keith Anderson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Art’s honor to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org and the Start Seeing Motorcycles Group at http://startseeingmotorcylces.org.
