Obituary of Jimmye Dean Chennault

Jimmye Dean Chennault, 80, of Pearland, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2013. She is preceded in death by her parents, Odis and Eileen Gatewood; her first husband, Oliver Ray Van Ness, and second husband, Norman Chennault. Jimmye is survived by her daughter, Eileen Mahanay and husband, Gary; sisters, Jean Weber and husband, Norman, Rosemary Mills and husband, Clarence; grandchildren, Clayton Ray Chennault and Christel Chennault-Brown; seven great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Jimmye was very artistic and enjoyed painting, and helping family member decorate their homes. Her most cherished memories came from her time living in Japan. It was there that Eileen was born and Jimmye developed her love of gardening, and collecting Japanese art and furniture. In her early days, she loved traveling; whether it was in her RV around the country or her trips to Hawaii and Alaska. Jimmye was a woman of great faith and loved reading her Bible. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. A memorial service for Jimmye will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 5:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Pastor Raymond Cox officiating.
