Obituary of Jack Horn

Jack Herbert Horn, age 89, of Pearland, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2009. He is preceded in death by his parents, Horace & Rosa Marie (Schroeder) Horn; daughter, Dianne Bates; son, David Crawford; and sisters, Marjorie Wilson & Gwendolyn Willson. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Margie; sons, Michael Horn & his wife Suzanne, Bryan Horn, Stephen Horn & his wife Debbie, Joseph Horn & his wife Susan, and Kevin Crawford & his wife Donna; daughters, Donna & Susan Crawford; brother Robert Horn & his wife Joan; ten grandchildren; two great grandchild; and a host of many other family & friends.
Jack was born on May 14, 1920 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He spent thirteen years in the Houston area and the last twenty-three at Country Place in Pearland. Jack proudly served the United States as a Lieutenant in the Army Air Corps during World War II and pursued a career as a Civil Engineer for the Port of Houston. He was an avid reader and always loved the challenge of crossword puzzles. Jack will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
Visitation for Jack will be on Thursday, August 13, 2009 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 14, 2009 at 10:00 am in the Clayton Chapel. Interment is at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston.
