Obituary of Nancy Elizabeth Goodwin

Nancy Elizabeth Goodwin, 61, of League City, Texas, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013. She is preceded in death by her father Adlai Schmidt. Nancy is survived by her mother, Esther E. Schmidt; brother, Michael Schmidt and his wife Doreen; nephew, Michael Schmidt Jr. and his wife Angie; niece, Melissa Locklear and her husband Jake; great nephews and nieces, Cole, Tate and Reid Schmidt, and Madeline, Maren and Doak Locklear; long-time friend and companion, Ron Stasky; and a host of other family and friends. Nancy loved to travel. Whether it was with her mom to go shopping in Fredericksburg or traveling with Ron to go bowling, she enjoyed the adventure of it all. Nancy and Ron enjoyed staying active and always looked forward to planning their next trip. She enjoyed the outdoors and often took hikes in the woods or long walks in the neighborhood. She shared a very close relationship with her mother and made it a point to join her mother for the annual Christmas Tea at church. Nancy was very close to her nephew and niece, as well as to all of her great nephews and nieces. She will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. The memorial service will be on Thursday evening, January 2, 2014 at 7:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Jake Locklear officiating.
