Please share a memory of Kripa to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Kripa Eapen, the eldest daughter of Mr. Eapen Kurian and susan Eapen, was born on May 13, 1992 in Vengal, Cherukandamparampil family in Thiruvalla, Kerala, India. She was raised in Pentecostal tradition and Christian values. At the age of fourteen, she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and received water baptism in the year 2006. At the age of nine, she was admitted to the hospital due to a minor stroke and was partially paralyzed. Doctors gave her no hope, but that night, God gave her a vision that she would be able to walk again. At the same time, she was diagnosed with a heart condition and was not expected to live a long life. However, God miraculously extended her life span to 21 years. She graduated from Mary-Rani High School in Changanacherry and then migrated to the United States in 2010. She was a member of Grace Church of God in McAllen, Texas. Then, the family moved to Houston in 2012. In Houston, she was a member of IPC Heron. Kripa was a sincere person and a devoted Christian. Even though she suffered from health issues, she trusted in God deeply from her childhood. On December 29, 2013, Kripa was called to be with the Lord. She is survived by her parents, brother, family, church members and everyone who was surrounded by her. In her last days of being very sick, she possessed a sense of contentment and readiness to be with her Heavenly Father. Even though she is not with us anymore, we have eternal hope that we will reunite with her one day on that beautiful shore. Although we will miss her, we thank God for His great promise and the blessed hope we all have, “For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God: And the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air so shall we ever be with the Lord.” (2 Thessalonians 4:16-17) A Visitation for Kripa was held on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 6:00 until 9:00 pm at Indian Pentecostal Church at 4660 S. Sam Houston Pkwy E., Houston, TX 7708. The Funeral Service took place on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 9:30 am at the church. Interment followed at Houston Memorial Garden Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
