Nell’s life was a testament of great love and enduring strength. She became a Christian as a young adult and remained so her entire adult life. She never met a stranger and taught her family to love all people and treat everyone equally. Nell made a habit her entire life of “paying it forward.” She loved her family dearly and always looked forward to cooking for them. Nell found great joy in teaching her daughters to cook and being thoughtful to others. Her pot roast, date-nut bread and fruit cakes were legendary. Nell overcame much adversity in her life and chose to always remain positive. She served many families while working at the funeral home for more than 22 years. Even after retirement, she went on to provide private care to the elderly in their homes. Nell was affectionately known as Nanna or Nanny and will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her.
The family will be celebrating Nell’s life with a private service.
