Obituary of Peggy Willardson

Peggy Willardson, 62, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2014. She is preceded in death by her parents, Hal and Renee Willardson; and sister, Cynthia Willardson. Peggy is survived by her brother, Barry Willardson and wife, Lila; sister, Debbie Landry and husband, Walter; nine nieces and nephews and fifteen great nieces and nephews; and her faithful and trusted seeing eye dog companion, “Nelson”; and a host of other family and friends. Peggy was strong in her faith and devout member of the Mormon Church. Blind from birth, she grew up to become a successful independent individual who had a thriving career with Southwestern Bell. Peggy graduated from Brigham Young University and retired after 31 years with AT&T. She had a group of friends that spread across the entire country and she was very active in the Seeing Eye Dog program. Peggy loved music and had an impressive collection of 45s. Peggy will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peggy’s honor to The Seeing Eye at www.seeingeye.org. A visitation and funeral service will held for Peggy on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3311 Southfork Dr., Pearland, Texas 77584. The visitation will begin at 11:15 am and the service will follow at 12:00 pm. Interment will be on Monday, March 17, 2014 at Salina Eastside Cemetery in Salina, Utah.
