Obituary of Sallye Rainwater

Sallye “Lynn” Rainwater age, 70 of Houston passed away August 28, 2009 in Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Rainwater and a son, John Garlyn Rainwater. She is survived by daughters, Gaylyn Payne and husband Eddie, Paige Rainwater and partner Misty. Granchildren, Beau Payne and wife Jennifer, Sally Payne and husband David Scogin, Jackson Payne, Michael Biscamp, Callie Biscamp, Meredith Rainwater, Madison Rainwater, Miles Rainwater and DéLyn Rainwater; sisters and brothers in law, Vickey Milner and husband Harley, Chére Rainwater and husband Daniel; brothers and sisters in law, Jay Carlile and wife Joyce, Augie Carlile and wife Diane and Rod Carlile and wife Grace; nephew, David Rainwater and numerous other nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Lynn was born March 18, 1939 in Houston, Texas to parents JH Carlile and Viola Vivian Lee Priest Carlile. She was a former resident of Layfayette, Louisiana, Silsby and Trinity Texas she has resided in the Houston and surrounding area since 1972. She was employed with Southwestern Bell for a number of years as administrative assistant. Lynn was a loving and devoted mother that loved to cook for her family. She deeply adored each and everyone of her grandchildren, She always provided her unconditional support to everyone in need. She was of the Methodist faith. Visitation for Lynn will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2009 at 6:00 pm with a Funeral Service beginning at 7:00 pm at Clayton Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will take place on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at 3:00 pm at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Trinity, Texas with Pastor Rick Jolley officiating.
