Obituary of Amos Loyd Kethcam

Amos Loyd Ketcham, 72, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Betty Ketcham; and brother, Sam Ketcham. Amos is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jane Ketcham; brother, James Ketcham and wife, Susan; sister, Harriett Thompson and husband, Robert; and a host of other family and friends.
Amos worked as a teacher and athletic trainer for many years and his career took him and Jane to Orange, Kingsville, Converse and Pearland, Texas. After his retirement in 1996, he and Jane enjoyed traveling all over the United States and even throughout the world. Amos was a big fan of Nascar and enjoyed cooking out on his grill. Never one to sit still, Amos even went back to work part time for Manheim Auto Auctions. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Amos’ honor to any of the many Animal Rescue Organizations. A visitation and funeral service for Amos will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581, with Deacon David Bowman officiating. The visitation will begin at 9:00 am and the funeral service will follow at 10:00 am.
