Obituary of John Arthur Moeller

John Arthur Moeller, 87, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Josephine Moeller; his loving wife, Lucille Moeller; son, Richard Moeller; three brothers and two sisters. John is survived by his sons, Ronnie Moeller, Joe Moeller and wife, Elena; daughter, Kathy Hartensteiner and husband, Kenneth; six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. John has “gone to be with Momma.” He was good provider, loving husband, and wonderful father. John enjoyed the outdoors; loved growing his roses and going hunting with his sons after Thanksgiving every year. He was an avid video poker player and enjoyed playing Keno. John was affectionately known to many of his friends as “Pops” and to his adoring grandchildren and great grandchildren as “Paw Paw”. He cherished spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren watching them play in the pool. John will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. A visitation and Rosary for John will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581. The visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 pm with the Rosary recited at 6:30 pm. The funeral mass will take place on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 6502 County Road 48, Manvel, Texas 77578 with Father Thomas Ponzini officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
