Obituary of Tonya Jean Hollopeter

Tonya Jean Hollopeter, 38, went home to be with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, April 17, 2014. She is preceded in death by her father, Stephen L. Hollopeter. Tonya is survived by her mother, Jeannette Shlater; son, Kellen Isaiah Amos; daughters, Jordyn Kiara and Taylor Danae Amos; brothers, Wesley Wayne Hollopeter and Shane Lewis Hollopeter; sister, Kimberly Hollopeter; her children’s father, Kevin Amos; special sister, Lora Holmes; second mother, Brenda Williams; her second family, Gloria, Chuck and James; her Boss and close friend, Courtney Hodges and her entire Apache family; her Higher Dimensions Church family; and a host of other family and friends. Tonya was a wonderful mother and provider for her family. She worked for Apache Corporation for 3 years. Tonya was a faithful member of Higher Dimension Church and worked with their Children’s Church. She was very involved in all of her children’s activities. Tonya never met a stranger and made friends with everyone she met. Her greatest accomplishment and joy were her children. Tonya will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved her. We have set up a Trust Fund for the children to help meet their financial needs in the future. All donations to the GoFundMe account http://www.gofundme.com/8jcadw will be deposited into that Trust. These funds will help support the children by covering future medical bills, college, school supplies, clothing and more. These contributions can be dropped off at any Chase location or mailed to 2455 Highway 6 South, Sugar Land, TX 77478-4111. The funeral service for Tonya will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 11:00 am at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway, Pearland, Texas 77581 with Pastor Terrance H. Johnson of Higher Dimension Church officiating. Interment will follow at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
