Cezar R. Leyran, D.D.S., a resident of Phoenix, Arizona and former resident of Los Angeles, California passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2007 in Houston at the age of 76 years. Cezar was born November 1, 1930 in Alfonso, Cavite, Philippines to the late Zoilo and Consuelo Rodis Leyran.
A devout Catholic, Dr. Leyran is survived by a loving family; his beloved wife, Virginia Fres Leyran; daughter, Khristine Leyran Scoville and her husband, John R., III; granddaughter, Kaitlin V. Scoville; four brothers, Ramon Leyran, Larry Laurence, Dante Leyran and Jaime Leyran; two sisters, Leticia Meim and Carlota Brizuela; and several in-laws, other relatives as well as a host of friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, June 22, 2007, at Clayton Funeral Home, 5530 W. Broadway in Pearland, where a rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 23, 2007, at St. Helen Catholic Church, 2209 Old Alvin Rd. in Pearland with Rev. Kit Mendoza celebrating. Dr. Leyran will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Cypress, California.
